I used to think it was not possible to do online money transactions in Nigeria but this has proved that it is very possible. In this post, I want to show you every step I went through in setting up my Quickteller account. Steps To Set Up Quickteller To Pay For Your Bills And Transfer Money Easily 1.You should have either an Interswitch powered debit card or Verve card. 2.Go to quickteller.com and fill the forms accordingly and truthfully. 3.Register with your email address and mobile phone number. 4.You receive a message with your activation code so just copy the code, the link or click the link directly. 5.Sometimes, you need to sign out before it recognizes you have activated your account Note that transactions might not go through if you have not activated your card to work with quickteller. Here is the part where you will need to use the ATM to activate it fully. How to Register for the Interswitch Safetoken Service *.Go to the nearest ATM, and insert your ATM card *.Input your 4-digit PIN and press Enter *.Select your bank account type eg Savings or Current *.Select the ‘Quickteller’ option from the ATM menu screen *.Select ‘Pay Bills’ from the Quickteller menu list on the ATM screen *.Select ‘Others’ for the bill payment menu option list *.Enter ‘******'as the Payment Code Nb that ****** will be a number that will be sent to you along with the message *.Enter your Phone Number as the Customer Reference Number and select ‘Proceed’ *.You will get a display“Do you want to make this payment?” Amount Due:N1 *.DO NOT edit the amount to be paid *.Click on “Pay amount due” *.You will then get a confirmation page indicating the registration was successful *Note that a surcharge of N100 may be applicable to each successful registration. Registration can also be done online via www.quickteller.com but your bank will need to validate your web registration before it becomes active. So you can also contact your bank directly to validate you, after registering on the quickteller website. Please note that you may need to request for your card to be activated for online payments by your bank before you are able to utilize this service. How To Pay For Services Using Quickteller Online *.Select any of the services listed on QuickTeller *.Provide your customer details *.QuickTeller will confirm these details then direct you to the payment gateway. *.On the payment gateway, select your card type and provide card details, pin and whatever other information is required. *.Make sure to verify for your phone number for security purposes. *.Your card number is the long number in front of your card. CVV are the last 3 digits at the back of your card. USING THE SAFETOKEN SERVICE TO PAY FOR QUICKTELLER SERVICES *.Once registration is completed and activated, the Safetoken service is ready for use. *.Each time you are prompted to input an OTP on a merchant’s website, you will be prompted to send an SMS to “30010” from your registered mobile number and an OTP will be sent to your phone via SMS. *.You can then enter the OTP received on the web payment page to enable you complete the payment transaction successfully. *.After payment has of any service using Quickteller, a receipt confirmation will be displayed for you via QuickTeller and also sent to your email. *.Any payments made are recognized by the specified organizations immediately Hope this helps.
