Pick an interesting title for your advert. You have limited space for the title of the advert. As you type, the counter tells you how many characters are left, so pick your words carefully. The body of the advert is the text that shows beside the advert picture. The text characters are also limited here so chose your words wisely. ClickBrowseand select a picture for the advert. The picture should be roughly rectangular. Not too tall and not too wide. When you clickContinue, the next segment of the form unfolds. This is where you can select the targeting parameters for the advert. To see even more options, click onAdvanced targeting options Undercountry, type in the country or countries that you want to target. As you type, facebook tries to guess the country. You can add and remove countries at will. For some countries, it is also possible to go deeper and target people in specific states. Select other options according to what your needs are. Choosing required exact age matchunder theAgefield restricts your advert delivery to only the people within the range you specified in the age targeting. For instance, if you chose to target people aged 24-35, your ad will be shown to people aged 24-35 and would never be shown to anyone who just had their 36th birthday. If you choose not to tick this box, your advert will be delivered to users with your target age range and slightly outside that range. UnderLikes & Interests, you can chose to target only people who like specific pages on facebook. For example, type “Marketing” and you will see suggestions including “Marketing”. This number is known as the the Reach and is indicative of the size of the market that you are targeting based on the parameters you select. The actual number of people that will see your adverts are drawn from other factors, but they are drawn from among those who meet your targeting criteria. The more specific your targets are, the fewer the number of people who will meet your criteria and hence the smaller the estimated reach. When you have completed the targeting section, click on Continue to reveal the third and final section:Campaigns, Pricing, Scheduling. Change account currency to $ and select your own coutry for country. Note: This is the country where you live in and not targeting. Timezone select GMT +01:00 A campaign is a way of grouping a set of related adverts. Every advert you create must be placed under a campaign. Facebook presents you with a default Campaign name of “My Adverts”. You may want to change it to something more descriptive like “WST Bonanza” Think of a campaign as a way of grouping related adverts together. In the example above, under “WST Christmas Bonanza”, you could include different adverts relating to the Christmas bonanza that you are offering for WST. The budget option is the maximum amount of money you want to spend each day for a campaign. This is a good way to limit your daily advert spending, making sure it does not exceed what you can afford while your advert is running. Change the campaign name to something more descriptive and enter the budget amount. If you do not want it to be daily limit, select lifetime budget. The higher your budget, the more times your ads are shown. The schedule section allows you to decide when a campaign starts running and when it will end. If you select run my campaign continuosly, your ad will run until the money in your card is exhausted so use with care. To set a fixed date when the advert will run, click on the check box and unselect it. You will be presented with date and time fields. The one at the top is start date while the one below is end date.
